Salem Stadium

Salem Stadium is located on Texas Street in Salem just behind the Salem Civic Center and next to the Salem Memorial Baseball Stadium. Salem Stadium is part of the Salem Civic Center complex.  Directions are available from the Civic Center web site or from our directions page.

Salem Stadium is the perfect stadium for watching the drum corps event and it is no doubt one of the finest high school stadiums in the country. There are no bad seats and even the lowest row is approximately eight feet above field level. The lighting is outstanding, and has been used for national telecasts of the NCAA Division III National Championship Football Game for many years. With nearly 4500 seats on the concert side, all seats are between the ten yard lines. The concert side seating is divided into five, nearly equal, sections. The center section, section C, is roughly between the forty yard lines with row 39 being the highest. Rows 10 through 39 are numbered in such a way as to provide more spacious seating than anywhere else in the stadium. Sections B and D are on either side of section C and their seats are roughly between the 25 and 40 yard lines. The highest row in those sections is row 36. Sections A and E are the two end sections and they are located roughly between the 10 and the 25 yard lines. They also have row 36 as the highest.

There are sixteen designated wheelchair locations, eight between sections A and B, and eight between sections D and E. They are at about row 15 level. Seating for wheelchair locations is on a reserved basis.

Food concessions are operated by the Salem Lions Club. Available are such items as hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, chips, candy, soft drinks, etc. Food concessions will open at approximately 6:00 pm and remain open for the duration of the show. OUTSIDE FOOD AND DRINKS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO BE BROUGHT INTO THE STADIUM!
