Pride of Salem Swim Party

Friday, August 14th, 6:00-8:30 p.m.
Stonegate Swim Club, 856 Stonegate Drive

The Salem Band Boosters cordially invite the members of the 2015 Pride of Salem Marching Band for a relaxing evening prior to heading off for their busy week at Band Camp. Our band members will enjoy an evening of fun, friends, swimming and food.

Dinner and dessert will be provided by the Salem Band Boosters. Parents may send a dessert for our band members. We request that each student bring a 12 pack of sodas (Coke, Pepsi, Sprite/Sierra Mist, Orange, Root Beer, etc.) which will be used at the party. Any drinks not used for the pool party will go towards restocking our pantry and used for upcoming football games and competitions.

Students should bring a swimsuit and a towel.

Students should RSVP no later than Wednesday, August 12th by signing the sheet in the band room. We must have a headcount to insure we have enough lifeguards and food.

Fundraiser – Stadium Cleanup

Parents and Friends of the Pride of Salem –
With the expected growth in the band next year, we are looking for more ways to earn money to support the Band.   The Salem Civic Center has offered to make a monetary donation to the Salem Band Boosters.  In exchange, parents, students and other volunteers would clean up cans after the Blue Ridge Music Festival.  We will meet on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 11:00 p.m. to clean up after Saturday’s concert and on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 6:00 p.m.  to clean up after Sunday’s concert.  Please note that the Wednesday clean up would be after band practice is over for the day.
To make this work, we will need every parent and student volunteer that we can get.  The more volunteers we have, the faster the clean up will be completed.  Please sign up to volunteer for this clean up at Signup Genius.

  • Please eat lunch before you arrive.
  • Dinner will be provided by Band Boosters.
  • We will go in full uniform and perform the halftime show.
  • Stagg Bowl is next Friday night (12/19) and we will perform at this nationally televised game. (ESPNU)

May 18th – Band Banquet

When: Sunday, May 18, 2014 at 5:00 p.m.
Where: Salem High School Cafeteria

Please join us as we celebrate the success of the Pride of Salem’s 2013-14 school year and say good bye to our Senior students. The Salem Band Boosters will be providing fried chicken. We ask that each family bring a dish to share according to the grade level list below. We also ask that each family bring a 12 pack of canned sodas which will be used for drinks at the banquet. Any canned sodas left over will be put in our pantry and used for the upcoming marching band season.

What to bring:

Freshmen: Side dishes (macaroni & cheese, baked beans, scalloped potatoes, etc.)

Sophomores: Salads (Green salad, fruit salad, potato salad, macaroni salad, etc.)

Juniors: Desserts (cookies, cupcakes, pies, etc.)

Seniors: Side dishes (macaroni & cheese, baked beans, scalloped potatoes, etc.)

Band Banquet

Winter Concert Dec 10th, 6:30pm

The Winter Band Concert will be Tuesday, December 10th. The evening will begin at 6:30 pm with performances by the Andrew Lewis Middle School band. They will be followed by the Salem High School bands. We hope that you will join us for this wonderful evening of music.
